Nambucca Macnuts operates as a farmers co-operative. It is owned, operated and loved by Nambucca Region Macadamia Farmers.
Nambucca Macnuts staff are aficionados of macadamia and food handling. Together with the compliance of our growers we are able to run a clean, efficient and technologically advanced operating plant. We are a smaller provider of the total kernel sold per year but with a plan for constant re-investing in equipment and improvements in management practices we are well positioned to provide a high quality assured product.
The company is accredited with full HACCP and related systems. Regular laboratory checks are conducted by our compliance body the Australian Macadamia Society to ensure high quality standards are maintained.
Macnuts was one of the first processors in Australia to purchase a colour sorter providing sensational results and significantly saving time on the farm and factory.
The nambucca region is geographically boutique providing an isolated hub to operate without the burden of single systems ecologies of the larger growing areas further north. This means that Nambucca is able to operate better with biological controls for pest and disease management on macadamia. Less chemicals for a better environment and for promoting the total health properties of macadamia.
